From the 04/12 interview myself. Completed the drug test but still waiting to hear back. Any idea on a time frame for putting everyone into classes? I know the Jan interview people are looking at June, is that still holding true for everyone?

I interviewed same day as you in the 0830 time slot. Currently in the same boat as you. Waiting to hear back... I hear the pool is shallow at the moment so shouldn't be too long of a wait!

I don't know but a couple people that I know interviewed. They were told the assessments really did count and that it was more adversarial than they had been told to expect. (I was told this before they got the no) Both are outstanding people and pilots. Neither got it. I would be interested in the percentage as well. I think the whole process is changing.

It counts now? Well I guess we'll see what happens and hope for the best.

I interviewed 5/10 and received the TBNT as well, unfortunately. I was told the assessment did count towards our offer. I don't think this was the reason I wasn't advanced to Phase II but I would take the assessment seriously.

Can you guys that took the assessment recently shed any additional light on what it entails? Whether it be psychologically based or more cognitive? Thanks.

I took the assessment I found it to me more psychological but their was a good portion of cognitive also. The one on one was great didn't think I did well on the computer based test but I never feel I do good on tests. Went in at 2 pm walked out at 7pm. I feel very lucky I got the chance to interview.
I sent thank you letters after and even got a response back. Best of Luck to all that interviewed that day.

Hi there,
For anyone to benefit from this..

Interviewed on 5/10

7:30 am, the HR ladies comes down to pick you up, collect paperwork, licences, cert. and logbooks. They will fingerprint and collect PRIA forms.. No drug testing.

8:30: back downstairs for initial interview..

Interview went fine, smooth, friendly people.... They did about five TAAT type of questions on the initial interview...

Initial interview:

TAAT you flew with someone you did not like..
TATA you went above and beyond for a customer..
TAAT you did something to enhance safety..
TAAT you had an emergency..

Why you are a good fit to JBlue..

What are the core of values?
Safety, Integrity, Caring, Fun and Passion..

Ok, pick one of the values.. (I picked Fun)
you chose Fun,?
What do you do at work to keep it Fun?

It was an HR lady with a pilot..

That was about 40 min between questions and answers..

Then, back to and open questions room where JBlue pilots answers any question you might have about the Co. and you wait there for the exit interview.

Exit interview:

CP from FLL, & J.W.

They'll talk about their own things.. Make it smooth and simple.

Why jBlue?
Why you? Why would you be a good fit?
Your background..
What if Delta call you..
Anything else you need to tell us..?
How soon can you start? - I guess as as you finish my background! Hehe (I did not say that. . )

That's like 20 min..

> jBlue is implementing this personality asessment. It is multiple choice.. 200 questions or more, it is like the Virgin personality asessment test. It takes like two hours to complete the whole thing. At the end there's a sim test your flying skills on the laptop, where you have a joystick with a throtle and you are on a plane with a HUD, speed on the left, altitude on the right and heading at the bottom.. Basically fly to pillons with heading that they assing you as you fly over.. That was the easiest.. You do it twice to see how you improve the second time.. You can't study for it.. So relax..
They guy from emerald that was coaching me said that the assessment test does not count towards whether they hire you or not.. And I hope so! He said is a method they are implementing to discriminate pilots as they have to hire more and more.. But it seem to me more of a method of loosing all aplicants...

You finish that assessment and you are done..

7:30-1:30 ... They did not provide any food, nor they say go out and lunch. That made me GGGggrrrr! Only blue chips, cookies and water.. So, HAVE A GOOD BREAKFAST -!

> be carefull with your log books, my columns were not adding up by some hours on the SIC they ask from the time you flew 152's and 172's.. Who logs SIC time on a sing. engine? But, he signed the paper and let me go.. The guy seemed to be like he would not make my life miserable for a few hrs on the log when my TT is over 8500.. The rest of the sums where neat.

They said they will write an email with passing to phase two or not, withing two weeks..
We'll see.. ;-)
