I thought it was supposed to be during the NGPA conference, and then the WAI conference… but apparently it didn’t open either of those periods????

We were told "early spring" back at Vets in Blue in November, for what that's worth.

I did the virtual questions a month or so now and did not hear back. Is that bad or does it take a while to hear?

It varies widely. I waited 2 months after the virtual before I got invited to the F2F. I know people who completed their interview in less time. Just be patient.

I’ve been invited for the virtual questions. I don’t live in base (I would happily move if I really needed to), is JB known for its QOL vs work balance? I’ve read trip drops are not really existent lately, longer upgrade times, high hours schedules etc. I realize it has been touched on before, but with all that’s happening (covid, inflation, big 6 all hiring etc), is it still a place of choice for many?

Pretty loaded question. Speaking for myself coming up on 4 years here, I live in base and love this job. YMMV. Everything that needs to be fixed isn’t enough for me to start over and commute somewhere else.

I double what Toonces has to say with regards to answering your question. I also live in base and love my job here. We do have many issues that need to be resolved here though, and lately, there are times I find myself reevaluating my situation and wanting to potentially go elsewhere. As of now, I’m staying. Given our present state of affairs though, I‘d have a really hard time trying to sell anyone on coming to JB.
