It can’t hurt, but they hire folks from incredibly diverse backgrounds regardless of previous type ratings, etc. Apply and hope for the best. People have been hired with fewer hours than what you’ve got! Best of luck.

Apply and see what happens. But no, the type rating on the Embraer will NOT increase your chances. What will however increase your chances are other things on your resume since you’re low time and no TPIC. Candidates getting calls with low time are typically non-civilian.

I’m not involved in the program. VIB is usually around veteran’s day. You will receive an invite if you indicated you are a veteran on your application. I’m a betting man and I would say they will open the application window sooner so they will have fresh applications to screen for possible VIB invites.
