My buddy got the same… Class date 10 days after phase 2 email, and he’s in class now.

I haven’t been able to get a clear answer from anyone on what any of these gates mean.

I think a few posts back someone mentioned PH2 being a CJO. The class confirmation email is welcome but not so quick kind of tone. Riding it out at my current place till the last day.

Seems like this should be a section 6 item and not addressed via LOA

That's a Bingo. They want to change new hire pay now, we want things now. Perfect. Just say no to LOAs right now.

There is nothing in the CBA for new hire pay! The company sets the pay. The CBA only talks about when new hires cut over from training to Guarantee, which would be the only violation.

The CBA just says "a new hires pay for his status shall be effective upon completion of LOE". Prior to the check ride the company can pay them whatever, so if they want to pay them more after 45 days, I don't think that is an issue then.

Anyone else’s application go from “Background cleared” to “finger printing submission.” I had already submitted my fingerprints over a week ago.

They don't run the fingerprints till 30 days prior to class. It Should change back to background cleared after a few days. That's at least what happened with mine when I was going through the process. Went from background cleared to submission, even after I submitted, then back to background cleared.

I was wondering this same thing. It is my understanding that until a new hire passes LOE, they are not even protected under the CBA, with the exception of some limited protections for the 34 new hires stuck at training pay for over a year in MOU7. Where does it say in the CBA how much a new hire is supposed to be paid?
