jetBlue Hiring
#811
Well, when you try to get hired at a Major airline, they will look at your absences. If you are sick, call in sick. I never said anything contrary to that. If you aren't sick, why call in and say you are sick? If you are trying to go to an important life event, the CP will give you a LUV tag. The Dependability Policy is not a worry for me at all.

As far as asking about call outs in an interview?
No they will not. As it is illegal. They can only ask you how many times you have been injured on the job. Per the American disabilities act, How many sick days you took at your previous employer cannot be used against you until you have an offer of employment. That's where the area greys. But as long as you don't work for a eagle, or a com air, access to that info would be prohibited. So, unless you volunteer it such info it's irrelevant.
Not to mention, if you have no intention of leaving jb... The point is moot.
Do what you think is right.

Ask all of the guys that just interviewed with Delta. You will sign an agreement to review your absences and sick call-outs before you go into the panel interview. Don't want to give permission?...no problem...no interview. In the interview, they will ask very precise questions about how many times you called in sick or missed work over a holiday period. I'm not making this up. If you are content to stay at JetBlue, then yes, lie all you want if that's how you like to operate. Eventually it will catch up to you. I can't believe all the guys giving terrible advice to a new hire. I hope he's smart enough to not listen.

My application status has been "Recieved" for a month or two now, does this status change, if they don't want you? Or if they do? I hear they contact you via phone call or e-mail?
Just checking how their "view status" page works..

Hey man you were a life saver when I got on with eagle. I hope to now make the jump this year if I can get an interview to jb. Prepare for a million questions, and it's a long shot.
