Also, for ones getting called for interviews, what are the upcoming dates?
They are holding classes every 2 weeks. Based on my friend who started 2 days ago there were lots of dec 11th interviews in class and a lot got called for feb 26th class.

Idk what the hold up for Nov guys is but maybe I would try to find out. Just a thought.

Good to know things are still moving. From what you're saying, Jan. 15th should be keeping their phones close.

I was told March when I interviewed so I guess that would be possible based on Dec guys getting calls.

Anyone know how long it takes JB to call you for an interview once a friend of yours assigns his Blue Dart to you?

I applied in Nov/Dec, meet their mins, and my friend submitted his Blue Dart to his CP in the first week of Jan, so I'm wondering what gives.

It could take awhile if there are a lot of Blue Darts out there. They will not assign an interview class with more than 25% Blue Darts. Conceivably, that could delay your interview while you wait for them to get to your Blue Dart (They are generally assigned an interview based on the date they were submitted).

It is a good idea to confirm that the Blue Dart was actually submitted and received....they have slipped through the cracks before.

Good luck!

Thanks, that explains a lot. I'll bug my friend in a month or so if I still don't hear anything. No rush on my side, love my current job, but JB has been my goal for a loooong while.

Can someone explain what a blue dart is? I am picking up that it is an employee referral of some kind but is it a guaranteed interview?

Yep, existing jetblue pilots are randomly given a Blue Dart which allows them to pick someone to be guaranteed an interview, as long as they meet the mins. It doesn't guarantee they will be hired, just helps getting them to the interview phase. Some jetblue pilots have been awarded multiple Blue Darts in the past, and some have never received one.

Looking for some input from current JB guys. I interviewed in the fall of 2011. Made it to phase II, but as I understood it, over the next few months the company adjusted their projected hiring by a couple hundred new hires and subsequently I received the dreaded fed/ex letter. Still really interested in getting on with JB. Does anyone know if there's any chance my name might be singled out as an applicant who successfully made it through the interview stage previously? My guess is I'm back in the mix, square one with everyone else.
