I agree. It’s going to be very hard to convince a 320FO who is crediting 150-200 hours a month at the moment to go sit down and do nothing for 70 hours a month. Same goes for captains. That could very well change because of covid (less flying no open time) but at the moment I’m under the impression many FO’s are making a lot more than captains.

Being such a small base it'll skew senior.....perhaps in Boston, but I don't see many guys in the #2100 range (at least in JFK) wanting to give up the top Airbus FO schedules for lower pay and an unknown schedule.

I think there are a few FO’s that were making more then your average Captain pre pandemic. When those FOs are now down to 100-150 credit hours the numbers get closer to break even with 220 Captain. It will be interesting to see how this bid comes out. No changes for me I’m happy where I am, I am eyeing the Europe flying though. I was heavy international G550 12 years ago before I got here I would like to go back to that. I love the complexities of international keeps me on my toes😎

I think the uncertainty of line holding 320 FOs swapping, will keep many from going. A few might try to get a better seniority % but that may bite them.

Why would someone leave the bus unless the 220 will significantly improve QOL, which initially it most likely won’t. I would I imagine it would be fairly senior to junior 190 guys/gals that will bid it.

I can’t see a lot of 320 guys coming to the 220. Most of the bus guys dislike the 4-5 leg days, which this will be doing eventually, especially in bos once (if) things normalize. On top of that, throw in a straight pay cut + DC match .. etc. You would have to have a hard on for the plane or hoping for a seniority wind fall by jumping ship.

I am bidding 220 CA. 2400ish seniority. I rarely credit more than 80 hours of credit and I definitely need a change. I might regret it but it won't be my first mistake in this career.

You need a new APC name. Also, I’m not sure if 2,400 will hold 220CA this go round. Hope it does. Good luck with it!

Yeah, I shouldn’t say hard on for the plane. A change of scenery, I definitely get it.
