During non labor dispute times I have no issues with local or commuting pilots picking up trips at straight pay. During our last labor dispute the same pilots who would pick up straight pay trips would turn around and ridicule pilots for being on VDA. We either all stand together or we don’t during a labor dispute.

Just be cognizant of the fact that a labor dispute is looming, likely to occur in the very short term. Legal disclaimer: I’m not advocating one way or another about picking up VDAs during a labor dispute, just wanted to make sure you were aware that it’s likely coming, and soon.
