it was for a while….problem is nobody was stupid enough to pick it up because they know the VDA calls were going to be plentiful as soon as CS options ran out.
I ended up triple time for my own trip earlier this year. I got kicked off paid for training because they needed it for some captain’s consolidation. The guy called in sick so it went back in as open time. It got the premium X put next to it so I put myself on VDA and got called for my own trip.

There is a daily call log and you can see who was called, at what time, and whether they left a VM or actually talked to the pilot. You’ll also see the people they didn’t call and skipper over and the reason given - (I.E the X list trip would have conflicted with their regular schedule).
Its a pretty solid system here and one most everyone will be inclined (I assume you guys as well when you learn of it) in the JCBA. 👍🏻

It is very very FAIR to all who volunteer here at NK. You put your name on what’s called the X/Y List. The names are in seniority order, but once you accept a trip you move down the list. All the guys with 0 hours for the month/year will be above you. Eventually you’ll be back up near the top as others fly and credit and go below you etc etc.

This is a solid explanation of what we have here at NK. It works really well. You get a call and accept a 15 hour trip, your position on the list now falls below all who have accepted fewer than 15 hours. Some guys who are senior enough will drop their entire months and rack up the premium hours early in the year because they have kids and want to spend the summer with them, then cruise through the rest of the year. Some guys who don’t have kids or whose kids are out of the house will not list at all until summer time comes along and accept everything that comes their way because a lot will since they are starting at 0 in June. The system makes it so you can work it in the way that fits your lifestyle. For each “bucket” of hours, the calls go in seniority order.

Now that’s a keeper. I feel like Milton getting no cake.

Yes the oral is only the 119 ish slide deck from the SPV study guide, so much better. You can do the PPS e-learning prior or on your own at the end of day 1.
