We don’t even know how to follow. If someone has a good idea, it’s ok to copy that. Takes 3 years just to make a decision at this place. Bunch of fuqing bumbling interns running this place….oh, and an HR attorney. 🤦🏼♂️

Spirit isn’t going to get bought by frontier the same reason we aren’t going to buy them. Neither airline wants to take on the debt. The best thing for the industry is to let them go bankrupt. The best thing morally is to save them and help the employees. Who knows what’s actually going to happen but I’m sure we find out soon.

I’ve been laid off more than once in this industry. It sucks, but it’s temporary. Nobody loses their airline job and just winds up, whatever, living in a tent under a bridge the rest of their lives. The people will move on.
Same reason I’m not running for the exits here. If B6 goes BK some time, I’ll deal with it and move on. Having faith in yourself is so much more stabilizing than trying to find a corporate entity to have faith in. Spirit, and this place, is just a job.

JetBlue can’t realistically take over those routes. Point to point flying is very difficult for us operationally. We can get away with a few instances but no way to do the stuff Breeze does without having small crew bases scattered along the east coast.
Jetblue has strong brand recognition in NE and Florida in particular. How many JB card holders are becoming Breeze frequent fliers because they live closer to these secondary cities and aren’t traveling to a hub city like BOS/JFK/FLL/MCO?

Probably a lot. JB went after us hard early on but they’ve basically given up and can’t compete. Also we offer non stop flights with a more efficient operation, can’t really compete with that. As far as JB and Breeze merging, It’s hard to guage how Neeleman still feels about the whole JB thing, you’d think he wants to preside over JB once more but I just don’t see it. They seem to be focused on creating a new thing with Breeze. The A220 is valuable efficiency wise but the operational reliability is just not there yet, we’re going to operate a fleet of Learjets to support them with parts and crew, that’s how bad it is.
