I thought MLK Day this year was supposed to be double pay. Showing no holiday pay on Rainmaker currently.

They are having issues with rainmaker apparently... surprised? They send out an e-mail yesterday about that.

I saw that email. Holiday pay for New Years Day is accurate, so that's why I was wondering.

She still flies so that would make her part of Flight Operation when she does?

Her job (JTV President) isn’t a flight ops management job (chief pilot, VP flight ops, etc). I think his argument is once you step out of flight ops doing management stuff, you shouldn’t be on the seniority list. I’d argue that having seniority list pilots do management jobs outside of flight ops can be a good thing as long as they still fly and as long as they pay dues.

Agree. There are lots of jobs outside of Flight Ops that are held by seniority list pilots. (Safety analysts, pilot recruitment managers, fleet manager and supervisor jobs at JBU which remember, isn’t part of Flight Ops)

The best way to ensure that the company has no idea about things from a pilot perspective is to prevent seniority list pilots from holding positions. I’ve never understood why people care so much to say people should give up seniority. It shows a severe lack of perspective and understanding of anything outside their narrow point of view.

She’s not on the list so she does pay dues.

Yeah that’s my point in my earlier post that led to this discussion. She probably pays more dues than any other JetBlue pilot.

Uh oh. Southerner agreed with me. Something weird is happening. Can’t quite put my finger on it but maybe I need to call out and get checked out to make sure it isn’t something on my end.
