Unless the robin said it point blank, to your face, take anything you hear at recurrent with a grain of salt.

Edit... The LIC lease doesn't expire unti 2022.
Fair enough... Maybe it takes 5 to 6 years to complete the expansion down south... Doesn't matter to me either way, but does make good business sense.

I don't think that's true. I think they're additive.

FWIW I had had a passing convo with a fellow from Corporate Facilities at the Lodge. The aforementioned expansion was discussed and seemed almost set in stone. As it stands with 2 sims and our current cadre of instructors, I was told that we can train 6 E190 guys a week. Whether that is linear as compared to the Bus and related resources I have no idea. Just my two cents. Carry on. (P.s. I heard nothing remotely related to moving LSC)

Sweet I can't wait to stay at the lodge during recurrent.

Were they talking about expanding the training center too?

I was just in recurrent a few days ago. Heard none of these rumors at all. Yes they are looking for more airplanes but nothing firm yet. They did apparently get a line on two more leased aircraft whose original lessors will not be taking them. Therefore we will be leasing two straight off the assembly line if it works out that way.

Heard nothing about headquarters moving and saw now evidence of impending construction representative of such a scaling up of operations.

Would be great if all were true, just saying there was neither mention nor evidence of any of it.

The Lodge expansion is fact, and will break ground 4Q or early 1Q. JBU expansion will have to happen as we grow, but that's more than a year away. We will always have an HQ in New York. The question is whether Ops will move to OSC someday. If it were to happen, it won't be anytime soon.

It would make sense to move some of the operations staff (crew scheduling, payroll, MOC/SOC) down to MCO. Leave all the rest up in LSC.

It would be great. You could get a much better employee for the same cost, but I'm sure instead JB will opt for the same employee for 20k less.....
