Haven’t you learned that APC isn’t a place for the faint of hearted, the easily offended! Set your feeling aside. And yes, I was saying that your friend and family who are paying taxes footed a furlough bill for 6 months. Think about it mate. When this all started airlines step up said “hey throw us some loot or we are going to have to lay off tons of people, we see it getting better and want to be there when it’s better.” Mmmm well here we are in June mmm and I’m pretty sure 500,000 people going through TSA isn’t better. So yah man. Some portion of people were furloughed in March... we don’t know the number but I’m guessing the fly on the wall in the meeting with Munchkin and Trumpy, the airlines said throw some loot our way or we are furloughing (insert number). I cannot imagine that number as changed very much. Especially when there has not been a single piece of good news about the travel industry.

so yah like I was saying. Turbulence here mate. Been moderate chop since March, if you think something’s changed enlighten me.

Well, we were down to 100,000 in March and like you said, we’re at 500ish in June....most likely will start to hit a million in July. That’s a change. And I’d say it’s much better than March. Obviously it’s not enough to save our jobs, but It is certainly trending in the right direction.

Also the Dow is going to 40k in 2021..... butttttttt might his 18k as well. Just a few handful of of analysis throwing some numbers around.

Maybe the line that someone drew on a chart from TSA says trend is going up. July and August don’t matter mate and you know it. July and August already behind us as far as people keeping jobs. RH already said he’s concerned about September and the winter. If some compelling evidence is shown that the winter will be better than projected maybe we can all keep our jobs. Other than that, Sorry the bad news still out weighing the good news.

I wasn’t replying to you about being crass, your original post was respectful. It was someone else.

I still don’t know what what you’re trying to argue with me about. Everything since March has been voluntary thanks to the CARES act. Whether it should’ve passed to bail out the airline employees is a different story, and not a point I tried to argue mate.

If you think still receiving a paycheck while staying home is moderate chop, then you’re in for a rude awakening if the company has to resort to involuntary furloughs mate.

Getting paid and staying home is a plus not saying it isn’t. Just a bandaid on the truth. Did you happen to notice that we have been getting incentive lines for 3 months. Yet today they only have two months? Coincidence? Or just the reality of what is coming?

The LOA for incentive lines only goes to September.

Also the amount of lines on the 320 was pretty low. The 190 is a whole other story.

Stand corrected. Didn’t read that LOA. My bad.

Ok? I’m not arguing there won’t be involuntary furloughs come Oct 1. I don’t know if you’re quoting the wrong person.

I also think it’s being offered for only two months because that’s when LOA 8&9 expire. ALPA and the company are still working on some extended leave options past September 30th. If there’s not enough takers, then yes they’ll go involuntary.
