Wasn't Powers the guy that said we won't see a wide body with him at the table...
Powers is too young to just retire, airlines are killing it right now with profits. CFO's don't just retire when times are good. Something is going down.

Good riddance.
He was against mint, the 321, and one of the biggest proponents of outsourcing our flying.

Yep. Bye bye powers! Mr "none whatsoever"

This is Robin continuing to clean house of the barger leftovers. He axed a few right off the bat but powers got to stick around a while longer. He is finally finishing putting his people in the top positions.

Powers and robin haven't seen eye to eye on a lot of things. Powers didn't want to spend money on anything. If it cost money it was bad.

To me this means we are about to spend some coin. Either via merger (frontier) or more growth. I hope it's the latter. Maybe powers was the one holding up the CBA as well. Who knows.

I don't know about you, but a merger with Frontier scares me. Too many moving pieces, to difficult to integrate the seniority list, etc.

I heard a rumor the other day, that we were considering buying Frontier's Airbus orders. I think that would be the best of both worlds, but no one asked me.

what moving pieces? They have the sam planes with different engines? we're already redoing all of our airbus cabins, whats another 60?

West coast guys get a Den base, the combined airline basically doubles its size in 5 years. If you're on the bottom today you'll be 50-60% in 5-6 years. Not bad imo.

As for the SLI... we work it out or we don't and it goes to arbitration. Worst case is a timed base fence I would think.

just my opinion, but before F9 got bastardized by bedford and the indigo group it was a fantastic ride, I used them pretty regular commuting east coast west coast. I think we'd come together fairly seamlessly.

anyhow, times change and I'm usually wrong

Not to mention, an ORD base for our midwest commuters!

You don't really think he just decided to walk away, do you?

F9's domestic route structure would 100% complement and feed our destination airline.
