Unfortunately willingness to leave, for many, depends on age and tenure. Some of us are now stuck. Disheartening for sure but praying for a merger.

So what did you hear relating to 2017?
He was asked something to the effect of if pilot budget would change or if raises had already been factored in and he made it clear there would be no change. To his credit he is answering the analyst questions fairly. There is no reason for jetblue pilots to expect a contract any time soon. At one of the base meetings it was brought up that while negotiations are progressing a full negotiating cycle will take years. We haven't even touched mediation and arbitration. Jetblue knows this so, again, why would they pay now what they can pay in 3-5 years? Because a few pilots are unhappy? You mean to tell me jetblue is going to reward us with an industry leading contract while idiots are still picking us RSA, VDA, extending and flying on their days off?
We sent a message with the "summer of love" ina previous life but this group, 1193, are more concerned with culture than retirement.
The message is there and the instructions are clear. Do your job! But guys diving into seat to clean amount all the other crap the juicers do and here we sit. Without a contract and industry leading in the race to the bottom benefits and pay.

This is the reality. It's not sugar coated. The juicer mentality is killing this pilot group and jetblue is laughing all the way to the bank.

Sadly because the RLA favors the company. If there was a change in the status quo of the amount of guys picking up the extra flying the company can sue the ALPA. They most like would win too, regardless of ALPA sanctioning it or not. Hell with all the illegal works actions I've seen posted here, you guys have handed the JB legal time enough ammo, anytime they want to use it...

What's interesting, Imo, is you'll speak to die hard union members and the juicer crowd alike and both are picking up RSA, VDA etc. Regardless of what the union says pilots continue to turn the break of early. It's the little things, done IAW SOP, that could easily bring the airline to its knees. None of this is mean spirited but just doing your job and nothing more. The airline is short pilots and their policies are flawed. A simple adherence to policy would prove this and the whole contract issue would work itself out much, much faster.

if there was a sudden reduction of the %'s of pilots picking up VDA/ RSA's etc it would be held against the union, even if they had 0% to do with it. Just the was the act is written for status quo....

I do agree all pilots should be following published company procedures. Cleared to push or not cleared to push is pretty freaking simple in my personal opinion....

I'm seeing 50/50. Half the CAs are throwing the brake under the auspices of "I'm here I'm getting paid." In some cases, significantly before clear to push.

We are our own worst enemy. The self preservation model is rampant. Gobble, gobble, gobble, I get mine. You wanna get a beer? That's alright, I'm fine go get that PBR on the double time you just made.

Win only a court mandated letter from ALPA to the pilot group (in my gayest voice) saying:

"Stop it".

Agree. We need to grow a pair. Funny how the company doesn't mind violating status quo by changing work rules. Turnabout is fair play.
