This isnt actually true either....yes you will travel on your last day off... but generally not before 20z... and yes you could be in a situation getting home late on your last day... for me personally I have got home late once in 6 1/2 years..... more often than not ... I have been home by noon on my last day.... or even better the night before....

Generally if you are moving late on your last day... you dropped the ball and didnt start pushing scheduling 3-4 days out to firm up CBA compliant travel home. NOBODY at this company even those on probation have ever been targeted for exercising their contractual rights.

If you have to push scheduling it sounds they are not doing their job. Pilots shouldn't be in charge of pushing schedulers

No argument there. But that is how it is.

agreed.... but if you want to get home on time .....you will....

schedulers want to fill seats in our metal moving freight.....getting you home on time just might not be their priority unless you make it their priority

That is not how it should work! Unfortunately, it is very stressful having to negotiate with CS about getting home on time. They are taking advantage of the new people on the line. I hope the union is manning the “CS hotline” phone number and helping these people out?

How is CS taking advantage of new people? They have given you a company phone. Use the phone, call in a few days before you are to go home and tell them you need to be home on time this month. If they were ever to tell you no then ask to be connected to the Chief Pilot on duty.

I was never home late on any tour 11-14, I was told on initial IOE to start reminding scheduling a week out of your go home date, the most dramatic return was a United flight routing OBBI - Kuwait - IAD - DTW ,that saw me in my casa by 1800 that last day, and that was all pre kick butt CBA : ) Also pre company phone, calling direct via the hotel must of cost a bit : )

W, you know the saying, “don’t be part of the problem, be part of the solution”. Thank you for your Mil service and now your union service on this Veterans weekend.

Ok boys, take it easy! TT, you are in the school house, next month when you come out, perhaps you will get a dose of reality. WO, I have been a Steward, member of the Exco, etc... I know the drill. If you need help, talk to me in person. However, I am hear to tell you, with a majority of the FO’s very new, and as crazy as it is, they are being targeted! And I am ****ed, as I just saw a new FO this week in the training building and we had flown together last month. We split up when he was going home and I was not. I asked him how he got home from RIX and he told me they would not commercial him home because SR was out of the office, no one could authorize the ticket. So his only option....commercial to BRU. Operate to CVG, ferry plane to OSC, drive to Grand Rapids, then home. All told...almost 40 hours!
Had I been there when this was presented, you would have been on the phone. That is just one example!
