I may have an interview coming up. I have a few questions if someone can indulge me:

There is some good information about the interview on Aviation interviews about the HR portion but not much on the technical side. I am studying the Atlas gouge but is there anything else I should be studying?

Any tips on the sim ride? I've been on the Airbus for a while and possibly forgot how to trim. I have been thinking about buying a couple hours in a Boeing sim.

The Computer testing is my main concern. Is there any prep I can do for this besides practicing long division and other math? Does anyone know how much weight the outcome of this test has?

Thanks in advance.

Have they stopped interviewing right now during the busy season?

Not 100%,,,,but I don’t think they will interviewing till after the first of the year. Looking to hire 100+ in 2018.

Know how to read and fly a SID and how to enter a hold.

Total waste of time and money. You're just demonstrating you have a crosscheck. When the weather allows for it, turn off your autopilot and flight directors and fly your Airbus down the ILS beam old school.

Thanks.

You make it sound easy.

As far as automation goes I shut it off everyday. Generally at least by 5000 feet raw data all the way down. If I'm tired I'll leave the FDs on. The thing is so easy to hand fly. Set it and forget it.

I just really want the job and want to leave no room for error. Seems like a difficult interview.

I don't know if you're at K4 or not, but every bit counts at this place. If they're handing out free ****ing cookies, I'll take two and I don't even eat the damn things!

We may get points at the Honolulu DT also but I'm not sure. For what it's worth, my buds over at Atlas claim to have the same problem of getting screwed out of hotel points. So it's not like Kalitta is the only ACMI to be losing out on that benefit.

The trick when you get into places that “don’t offer points” is easy. Take a screenshot of your receipt and find wherever it is on their app to contact customer service. Right a short not requesting the points and attach the screen shot. Works every time in my case.

I’ve taken many family vacations and never paid for hotels because of the points we get. Just had a month off and did 3 family trips, stayed at nice resorts too.

I think the original question was to whether we get travel benefits for family. What we lose in travel benefits, we gain in points and miles. I for one prefer the points and miles versus free travel for family. Having your family fly standby on mostly full planes has to be a pain versus positive space using points or miles. And you'd only be able to use your airline instead of using all of them with miles. Just my opinion.
