As usual I cannot figure out what your point is. When did he state any of the things you write about? It is truly sad that you are so sad. If you cannot be happy in this environment that is bad. I don’t think you will ever see a better time in your career.

Not good at all but what does that matter? I save on my own and don’t want to be in a position where a company can steal my pension.

I'm a little slow. I admit it. I just came on APC to see if anyone actually knows why the darned Nazi's bombed Pearl harbor.

Exactly. I max out my 401 by July and along with the extra $10K from Connie it's OK. The rest of the time I invest on my own behalf not worried that it will get taken away.

I have always been able to make ends meet pre contract I didn't spend my life living outside of my means and trying to beat "The Jones'", the pay increase was a nice extra, just means I have more money to do things I want and save for my retirement, which I will be damned if I am going to 65 anyway, on target for 60 maybe a little sooner, who knows.

Why do you think K4 is getting all this increase in 767 DHL flying..these are not new city pairs you are flying to. Exp: ABX then Astar then Y5 now K4 going to MSP whoever signs the next lowball contract is next...Smart guy...

Why does eveyone think that K4's business plan is solely based around DHL?? Yes it's a nice chunk of change but not the whole picture. We have other long term contracts in Asia and now for THY. Throw in the military charters etc., we do just fine with or without DHL. We have even turned down contracts due to lack of pilots, not because they are leaving, because the school house can only supply X per month.

It's no suprise that DHL is handing some routes to K4, we have a contract and in their eyes stability. At-less / Southern et al without contracts and on going issues pose a thorn in the side of DHL. Now is K4 offering or being paid less per flight I am not privy to that but I suspect with the vast number of our aircraft paid for and a lower debt load than others because we don't have to support shareholders and loans K4 can offer better rates.

This was all to evident in '08 / '09 when the downturn happened. Yes we furloughed but in reality we shouldn't have, At-Less were offering 400's at 200 prices just to have cash flow and make payments, K4 didn't have to make a single loan payment and parking a few birds cost nadda to Connie.

Who thinks that? Every ACMI carrier hauling DHL also has outside business...K4 did not dream up that brain child!

Have you done the calculations to see how long your 401K will last after mandatory withdrawal's begin at age 70 1/2?

Hopefully, nobody knows your identity because those that got furloughed will now know that you were part of the "them" that was behind the '08/'09 furloughs. Did you have any input for the '10/'13 no equipment bid situation? Hopefully you didn't have any input into the '12/'13 curtailments and furloughs.
