Congratulations.

My advice is to get there ASAP.

Get sworn in, put in a couple of weeks, get the feel of the office and boss, then worry about moving (if necessary).

I just got the call for an interview! Looks like it's my turn to head to Denver for the Air Carrier interview. Any info/help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

I interviewed a few months back. The interview is mostly based on the KSAs from your application. Probably a good idea to review your app, but pretty low key. No technical questions.

Thank you for the information. Does the sim ride occur on the same day as the interview, or is it something that happens after you pass the interview?

It was after for me, and that seems to be the norm.

Unless things have changed, you'll travel to Denver on your dime for the interview. If selected, they will pay for your trip back out for the sim eval. Pass the sim eval and you are in. Good luck.

Just did the GA ride in AFW. Pretty much as advertised. It was scheduled almost 2 months out so they must be pretty backed-up. They booked/paid for airfare and I paid hotel, rental car, and gas, to turn in for reimbursement. Just waiting for FOL now. There are a lot of openings as I got offers for three locations at once and then a couple of weeks after I had accepted one of them I got a call from someone else for a fourth location because they didn't realize I had already accepted. It has been a long, long process but I think the end is finally in sight! Good luck to all.

Thank you for the info. The interview is next week and hopefully the sim will follow.
