Friend just got the not hired email as well. I'm thinking it must be freeze related since he hasn't interviewed and the listing was still open.

HR has frozen all actions for at least a week. I think Controllers and Technicians will still go forward as there are a large number with TOL's in hand and many openings and lots of overtime at busy ATC locations.
All internals are/will be frozen ufn. This may change once the new DOTSEC is on board. The EO has a part that mandates a review of size of every agency.
IOW, if you aren't here now, don't burn any bridges. I would look for the oversight of airlines to be scrutinized under Chao. She was on the BOD of NWA for a time. Fred Malek is a Trump adviser and he was part of the LBO of NWA. They are not .gov friendly nor are they any friend of labor.
Hang on for the ride.

HR called me this past week to schedule my interviews and told me they are looking to have all interviews done by February 11th..... This coming straight from Irving Texas HR where the interviews are held. Also they said there are 60+ locations that need ASI vacancies filled. Who knows what happens after....

That is good news. As an organization, I know we will continue to do interviews and act as though all is normal. When I said HR, I was referring to the aviation careers section dealing with the actual hiring (issuing TOL, & FOL). Nobody has told us to stop anything yet, just that blast that said HR has frozen personnel actions UFN.
So, do you see still issuing FOL's to those of us with ASI TOL's?

Best answer is nobody knows as of last week. It takes Administrator level clearance to hire anybody into spots as outlined by the president's order. HR departments are trying to figure out what it means in relation to your question, if they have that authority or not under your particular circumstances.

Finished up my panel interview a couple days ago it went.....okay. For those who got to the next stage of the process did you receive an email, letter in the mail, or phone call in regards to receiving notice of a TOL?

You might be able to call the HR contact on the announcement which you applied under and be able to find out some details about how you fell out of the process. Having just dealt a little with HR recently - I was impressed with the effort they went through to tell a person if something was wrong with the application/package.
Worth a try even if you don't learn anything new. You could also ask the question about reapplying under the same announcement.

After the interview I got a call to confirm locations I'd be willing to accept. Those locations started checking my references within a week and about a week after that I got a call with offers for several locations. Picked the one I wanted and then got a TOL for that location via email.
