I think at best, you'd get slotted in by DOH and even that would be a windfall.
Yes! At best would be DOH. My First Officer on my last trip was telling me how he believed we would slot in percentage wise in an acquisition and did not like to hear otherwise. To be honest I would be completely scared to be acquired this early on by anyone. We have no union protections and every other airline does. How ever close the other airline could legally get to stapling us is what would happen

If you are acquired in a merger there is no legal way you can be stapled. SW management has however been known to give SWAPA veto power on a merger if a prenup can't be reached. You would have to agree to the staple per Allegheny Mohawk.
The other option would be for SW to purchase the aircraft and simulators and Brreze to cease operations. In that case since Breeze does not have a contract with a fragmentation clause Allegheny Mohawk might not apply. If Breeze owns the aircraft it almost certainly would apply. If they are leased it gets much murkier.

Right... so your FO thinks that in an acquisition of a start-up airline by Southwest, a 2 year captain from that start-up should be slotted with 30 year Southwest captain, and say a 60% 1-year FO at Breeze should be slotted with a 7 year 60% Southwest FO. That's pretty funny actually.

The A220-300 is exactly the size airplane that SWA needs to replace about 400 old -700NGs. The indefinite delay of the MAX7 is hurting us.

SWA took a hard look at the A220 before deciding on the MAX7. That much is known, so they have in the past had an interest in it.

Something that never gets mentioned is if Breeze’s future options and orders can be converted to the -100 model as that would probably have a place in our system as well. I’m guessing they’d seat around 110-120 in our configuration.

If we took out our first class to mimic southwest cabins, the -300 could hold about 150. So yes the -100 would probably do just like our E195s and hold around 120

Are your future orders and/or options convertible to -100s?

SWA wants a 149 seat aircraft with a 32" seat pitch. I suspect the 300 would seat about 135 at 32" pitch.
Bringing a aircraft onboard with no growth potential also means that as they reach the point the 800's need replacement they would be operating 3 aircraft types. The 737 will go away someday.

Hows morale at Breeze at the moment? I am going through the PRIA/background process with class date TBD. From what I understand, could be as late as July. Does the future seem bright? I really want it to work out at Breeze! Also, how long would reserve last at BDL?
Cheers.

Is Breeze getting an ORD or MDW base is just someone's dream or what? I saw on another forum that someone is saying that Breeze will open an ORD base.... dreaming much?

I am on the same boat. Waiting for a class date and really want Breeze to work out. Even with all the noise, I do have a feeling Breeze will be succesful.
