Bailout Grant Strings Are Too Much

A lot of folks were very informed by much of this so called “gibberish” - some folks might want to go back read Rick’s (as if I know him, I don’t) historical data points. I definitely do.

He’s actually been very well informed and insightful over the years. What have you contributed in your 125ish posts here? A quick search shows mostly a bunch of I’m smarter than you, kid” style insults. Bravo. Impressive.

As cynical as it may sound I’d venture to say that the majority of today’s ASM cannot be morally justified as essential infrastructure. If this industry can’t carry itself for a few months following a crisis I don’t know if there really is much sympathy to be had with the position they are in. I have sympathy for the employees but not for a company deemed “too big to fail” but has negligible liquid assets.
As the son of a CFO for an old mid sized company I’ve often wondered why they park so much of their assets in low yield high security investments and liquid assets. It makes more sense now. I think the closest equivalent in the aviation business is UPS. Slow and steady growth investment wise is not sexy but it works in the long run. Modern corporate America should take a look and evaluate its proclivities for quick return and stockholder worship.

Does anyone know where to find a comprehensive list of the airlines/operators that have applied for federal aid? I know which ones have currently received it, but I’m more interested in which airlines/operators are still pending. Who qualifies for grant/bailout money? 121 only? Anyone know the details? Thanks in advance.
