Hopefully the very experienced and incident free pilot, Jim Inhofe can get picked up by one of the Legacies now that he is retiring from the Senate. Thats the kind of experience America needs!

Well Congress is probably going to flip Republican in a few months, and in 2 years the Dems wont control the White House.

But regardless, yes it could absolutely pass if it gets horsetraded and inserted into a massive bill that will pass.

Or the government could have reverted back to lower ATP requirements for FOs to help alleviate the problem in advance.

Graham said he is “confident if we had a vote on this legislation on the floor of the United States Senate, it would pass,” and that if Republicans take the Senate in November, it will come to the floor.” It sounds like the the timetable is for the FAA Reauthorization Bill deadline is Sep of next year. So unless Schumer gets a wild hair and lets it go to the floor it sounds like it depends on who controls the Senate after this November. Don’t thnk Biden would be motivated to veto (I mean how would an 80-yr old President object to a 67-yr old pilot? Hypocrisy much?) But the Senate is a wide open question.

Wait, what? Lower ATP minimums? Until the new rules There was no such thing as an ATP with less than 1500 hours. Now you can get one with as few as 750 hours (military aviators).

Hey look at that, a bunch of R's voting against labor unions. Shocking.

If they do win, he won't have the Senate until January. Shortly before the 6th.

^^^ To be fair, that’s my inner monologue at least twice a month. And I’m 3 decades from mandatory retirement…
