How many Senate Ds are over 67?
How many voters are ticked off about flights being cancelled?

Here's a better question - how much opposition across the US do you think there is to changing the retirement age? Airline pilots are a very small slice of the population.

I hope every sponsor and co-sponsor of this legislation drops dead. The irony is that so many pilots voted for them.
REALLY?! Were you even in the industry the last time it changed? Hmmm..,,

Diane Feinstein is 89. She plans on running for reelection in 2024. Will she be a NO vote for raising retirement age?
Patrick Leahy is 82.
Bernie Sanders turns 81 this year
Ben Cardin is 78.
Angus King is 78,
There a dozen more D Senators over 70, including Schumer.

And some of you think that D Senators are going to filibuster raising pilot retirement to 67?

Make no mistake, they’ll come for the ATP rule next.

Snort.

Yeah, that’s not a two way street. Not at all.

Simple solution:

If the mandatory retirement age is raised above 65, then whatever age they set should also be the mandatory retirement age for all federal justices and elected officials.

If you are too old to fly an airliner, you are too old to run the country.

Seems like a pretty simple concept.

I’ll say this….. when the age went from 60 to 65…. FIVE years….. there wasn’t even CLOSE to this kind of rhetoric out there from those it impacted negatively…. And that was in the middle of the the housing crisis and the largest economic downturn in 50 years.

That’s the same Clay Higgins that was a deputy in St. Landry Parish Louisiana. I think he should go back and do some more patrols instead—I think he did a good job there.
