I don't see furloughs from this bill, not that I think it's a great idea, but politics has a way of making strange bedfellows and when the money flows in the right direction, stuff happens faster than you can say....wtf?
I wouldn’t go back to the regionals if furloughed. Especially if some place was dumb enough to force you to give up recall rights. My side gig would work nicely for a while.

What makes you think age 67 would result in furloughs? Would put a damper on hiring for sure, just like the 2005-2010 timeframe, but most airlines are still trying to fill their schedule, haven't heard of any reporting overmanning yet.

Legacy are already staffing for further retirements. What makes you think the airlines are going to want to pay pilots to do nothing for 2 years when those retirements get delayed?

It sounds like you have an insider in the legacy boardrooms. Do you have another career lined up if this bill passes and becomes law. If 2 years is going to set you back catastrophically the field of practicing law or medicine can last way beyond 65.

If management wants age 67, it’ll happen. I don’t believe they want it so therefore I’m of the belief there is no urgency to making this happen.

A4A doesn't want it. RAA and NACA do want it, so management is divided. A4A is the 800 lbs gorilla of course, but RAA serves the small towns which are losing service.

Easy spin, those towns can get 135 service, where pilots can fly beyond 65.

😂😂😂 Exactly…. And we all know how “pro labor” this admin is. Just ask the railway workers. 😂

If I found myself aligning with RAA, I really would have to question my thinking. They are absolute scum.
