Impending Liquidation, Limited Career Options

Something I’ve been thinking about lately in regards to the ULCCs is frequent fliers. Loyalty programs and frequent fliers bring a lot of money for the LCCs and legacies, and although this is anecdotal the couple of people I know that use Spirit religiously know the a la carte fees very well and stay well within only paying for their ticket. One guy I know goes to see his wife twice a month for a couple of days till they can both retire in the same city. He brings nothing on board and no bags at all since he has a second set of everything at their apartment.
I wonder if that’s the case with a lot of ULCC frequent fliers and if they don’t provide lower ancillary revenue than less frequent fliers that pick which extras they want and first timers that may not be familiar with the fee structure.

we have this problem at Breeze! Many passengers complain about it. I notice we see a lot of people trying the airline out, but most go back to their regular United/Southwest etc after once or twice.

just zed fared on Breeze and it was great. C series a super nifty comfortable plane. Was a niche route too, prevented us from having to connect. Flight on time, pleasant FAs. Enjoyable.

That’s how the company makes money, fly during peak times and not when there’s less demand. People will fly other airlines when Breeze isn’t that day, but it’s not like they’re never coming back. Unless they’re aviation nerds, nobody wants to go through a hub.
