680k for a topped out captain including bonus really isn't that insane this year. I did some napkin math using Bob Gs board, and I am willing to bet he tops 1.25M by a lot.
680 is probably more than "just flying my line", but with some summer premium, easily doable.

$176,000 gross
No retro pay since I was hired just prior to contract signing
~$30,000 NEC
$206,000 total comp year 1
670 block time. Some months played the game a little bit and picked up “poor man’s premium” for year 1s, others hid out on reserve and did nothing. Live in base. Will try my luck at the normal premium game this year.
Not sure about days worked/days off and I’m too lazy to look but my quality of life is excellent and I love the flexibility we have in our scheduling tools. Solid crews overall and have a great time at work. Not a Kool Aid drinker but really do think this is a great place to be and I’m cautiously optimistic about the future here. If you don’t foam at the mouth for wide body flying or over airplanes in general, 10/10 recommend WN.

SWA 11 Y CA:
This is going to be the lazy man's version since I am not going to go and review my entire year. I would say I am an "average" captain. Fly extra some months. Fly average SWA number (around 100) most months. Junior lineholder commuter.
Total including NEC overflow and one time 148k ratification bonus $640k
Fully filled 401k buckets which I did not count in the above total. I forget how much that is...72k? I am old, so I get the catch up.
CWA says my block in the last 365 is 690. I have been avoiding tactical sick calls for personal reasons, so only calling sick when I am sick. Normal yearly block around 600. Don't do reserve (commuter), my days per month depends on how hard I work. If I am crushing it (summer premium bonanza), I may work 15. Otherwise normally try to stick to 12-13 days. Take multiple long vacations a year by blowing holes in my schedule. I work to live, not the other way around.
I think SWA is largely what you make of it. I come to work, try to do a good job, make my little bubble a happy place, and go home. I am happy with the amount of effort I put in per dollar paid and my quality of life that allows me to travel and enjoy myself with my family while I am still relatively young. My last job involved flying long flights and sleeping on airplanes and I have zero desire to ever do that type of flying again as it did not agree with me the older I got.

High Time Flyer here at SW. Denver Captain with about 10 years in the left seat and 5 weeks vacation. Not sure on the final numbers but block for the year will probably come in somewhere around 950 and of W2 of about 1.1 million. 219k of that was the Retro Bonus. Definitely worked harder this year than years in the past although I have been "playing the game" since I was a senior F/O in BWI back in 2012. It's crazy but it is not about the money...its about the game....which I love. Ironically I'm sure I am not the highest paid at this airline. I know personally a lot of guys who are smarter and work harder than I do.

That is more flying time than the MDW high time pilot who hates the union and picked up during the pickets . Do you think you made more than him?
