About 1ct/mile&point is what I used when I was 91k, and raking those in. $20K would be my guestimate. But only if you would have spend that much on travel anyway.....

No it doesn't...it only counts as block if you're a req'd crewmember...which you aren't. It does count for duty, per diem and pay though.

He's riffing on the "unused reserve as a day off" argument upthread...

Widget 73 CA
9-10 months of lines, 2-3 months RSV

Flight pay: 375k
PS: 37k
Per diem/other: 6k
401k+excess: 46k+31k

Total: 495k

I don't track days worked per month but maybe avg 13-14 in non-vac months. Numbers are rough w/o final check.

A handful of premium trips, hawk the swap board for better trips but not really a 'hustler'.

For someone asking for a 'get PBS award and fly your line' I'm decently close to that and wouldn't consider myself an outlier but middle of curve pay-wise for my category.

Of course for those pilots there is nothing in particular to boast about, so you see a lot less posts around the true average.

I’ll chime in as a “Joe average”

DL 737A, year 2/3

flight pay: 345k approx (one check to go)

401k: 58.5k

Just curious why there is such a big gap in profit sharing between you two with relatively close gross pay?

Because profit sharing is based on the previous year, so the guy with less PS was probably an FO the prior year or worked much less that year.
