My understanding is that only certain ships were passing through. Ships that are headed for China or Russia (Chinese/Russian ships?) are passing through? Now, no ships are passing at all creating pressure on Iran to come back and renegotiate and get the SoH opened again. Ships were passing through that were paying a ransom to Iran. We are putting a stop to that and clearing a path for all ships to pass. Should have been done sooner.

Creating a naval blockade is an act of war. Our blockade affects China, Korea, Japan, etc. We’re basically attacking China without congressional authorization, the orders given by one man overnight on a weekend.

As a thought experiment, imagine if Denmark were to blockade the North Sea or imagine China did a blockade of the Panama Canal? How would the US and the world react?

Yeah, I get it, Iran did it first, but that was after we bombed them, assassinated their leadership, bombed an elementary school, etc.
