Increased summer international schedule, still hearing that 9 MD-90's are all but signed for, and we are short in addition to that. Probably 100 guys per month for March and April. Back to 70 or so in May. They said they would hire 200 last year and ended up hiring 400. This year they said they were planning on 400 and I've heard it will end up around the 700 mark and that was before the increased international stuff. Might see around 900 this year.

First of all, welcome to Delta! Your gonna love it here. I was in class early 07 and they said they were going to hire 200 for 2007. BB himself told me that they always say they will hire less than they plan on. I guess it looks bad if they say they are going to hire 400 and end up only hiring 200. So, they say they are going to hire 200 when they know it will be more like 400. If they are saying 450 for the year, I'd bet money it will be more than that. By the end of April they will have hired 310. Only another 140 for the remainder of the year is probably a little low. I'd put my money on around 700 or so for 2008. And yes, even with the merger mess going on it will be around 700.
