Time to let it go, and happily watch it from the sidelines.

FAPA was two and a half hours late to the meeting. Demanded relative seniority. Using a number of "X". Would not define what "X" was.

SWAPA -Pay protect F9 pilots at pre-concessionary pay rates

FAPA - Demanded $3,000/month for furloughees and Cobra medical ($1,000/month) until recalled.

SWAPA - Three year fence and a DEN base for that three years.

FAPA - Demanded a DEN base forever.

FAPA failed to negotiate.

Or more precisely, who has to save face to the company for hamstringing them in something that would have been a very good for WN.

The NW/DL analogy is appropriate. The only difference is the relative size of the carriers. DL got paid more, but the arbitration was almost 100% based on equipment expectations, and not on pay or longevity or who had been in bankruptcy. Read up on it.

With regards to the "X" factor, what difference does it make if SWAPA wasn't willing to consider anything but a staple? Any value of X was rejected by SWAPA.

SWAPA was not willing to represent any furloughed pilots - ask your negotiators about it.

In the end, FAPA's position was much closer to historical arbitrations than SWAPA's. Even with SWAPA's "feather merger" with the FO list, FAPA's position was much more "equitable" as measured against any arbitrated SLI in history.

Yep I figured the answer was not very bright. I am with LJ...CYA.

By the way I know one of the neg...lets say pretty well. Plus an execuive board member is my neighbor. He has NO reason at all to lie. Especially over a few cold ones. But believe what you want. Good luck in the future.

If you bought us:

Our senior captains holding 19-20 days off with day turns to orlando would've been on reserve in BWI.

Junior Captains would be reserve FO's and have to move or commute.

That deal wasn't good for ANYONE here!
You're gonna wish you were a reserve Southwest FO in BWI when some 20 year old Republic punk is doing your job for $30 an hour.

Not all want to argue the pros and cons of the deal. Best of luck to F9, I wish you good luck just like opposing teams on the field, only we are competing for our careers. Everyone loses as the bleeding in Denver for all will continue. If I see any F9 guys on line, loved to have a beer.

Good luck

PS I think Mr. Canyon had the best grasp. The *****ing we're hearing is coming from the bottom of the SWA list...they were promised 3 year upgrades, didn't get it, and just saw a quick jump go "poof" because, gee, some pilots don't like being door mats. Wait until the Tranny guys insist on DOH, and that's a deal you WON'T get to veto.
Incorrect.

Granted I do not speak for RAH pilot group what so ever, but I think the feeling from the majority of the group is okay with a fence on Frontier as long as we have one seniority list. I really do not see the problem with them wanting to protect their jobs and equipment position with a fence and I feel that it is fair and equitable. We just really want to have one seniority list to prevent the whipsaw.
