And to the Lynx guys...I'm truly sorry you didn't get your WN seniority #...I would've wanted it too, but it is what it is. BB would be a fool to drop the Q's or sell them off, but what do I know.

1 RAH Pilot's opinion:
I don't believe a staple is fair/good for anyone...no matter who is on top or who is on bottom. All parties are bringing something to the table, some are bringing more than other and I think that that fact should be remembered when it is all over. I wholeheartedly expect to have F9/YX/Lynx guys ahead of me and F9/YX/Lynx guys behind me. What I cannot accept is the idea that I should be stapled to the bottom as a lot of YX'ers seem to think. I came to work at a viable airline with a good business model that made money every quarter in recent memory (prior to the acquisitons). RAH is not my first airline, but I came here because I saw stability. Now a lot of guys think that because I chose to work for RAH I should be the first one to be furloughed if things start to turn south. On that I call bull. I am a senior FO who gets the days off he wants. At the moment I am about 1250 out of 2200 (57%) at RAH...I would find it reasonable to expect that when it is all said and done I am somewhere around 50-65% on the new list.
But then again, this is just one RAH pilots opinion...and we all know what that counts for...something between dittatly and squat.

I refuse to call midwest or frontier a regional just because we are now owned by one. We made these companies a desirable place to work with great work rules and pay and I plan to fight tooth and nail to keep it that way.

I think this whole argument is not worth much anyway. I give Republic a couple years and they will be out of business. I really do not see them competing with Southwest in Denver and now Southwest and Airtran making their presence heard in MKE. With this whole purchase, the names are the same but the service is going to be different and customers will relive it. Especially as you add infighting to the labor groups, quality service will be hard to find.

I wouldn't put Frontier into the "mainline" catagory either, just like Midwest wasn't. Both are modest sized LCC's.
IMO, there's a significant difference there.

As for the integration, It's a great big turd sandwich, and we're all going to take a bite, every one of us. Just remember that there's one group who can already tell you exactly what it tastes like.

Let me guess... your DOH is Jan 2008. Anyway answer me this...
Why would it be "Fair and Equtiable" for you to keep your relative position and the 57% FO at Frontier/Midwest be lowered to your level?
..................57% Republic...............57% Frontier/Midwest.................
DOH ................2008 ...............................2002............... ...............
Pay ................$35/hr ............................$90/hr ............................
Trip rig...............NO ................................YES............... ................
Retirement..........NO ................................YES............... ................
Let me guess at your reasoning.... Because Republic bought your company.
I think some type of fences are needed so you can upgrade and that the Midwest/Frontier FOs don't have to be lowered to your level. ( eg. a NWA 747 Capt shouldn't have to move down to Delta MD90 Capt because of integration)

"because they are about to become RJ guys - with RJ work rules, salaries, and culture."
Frontier has always been a commuter: commuter training, workrules, hotels, crew meals, POI. They just have bigger airplanes.
