Looks like they learned something from DAL/Pan Am and NWA/Republic.

Don't mistake 6 guys on a message board for reality. This really isn't going to be near as bad as this board would make one think. The arbitraitor will give his ruling, a lot of people will be upset initially. Then people will go to work and do their job. Just like the dal/nwa sli. The only exception will be a few YX guys who may try to burn the house down. Very much the minority. A few bitter guys on a message board will not represent the rest of us.

Flyguy has it. Don't read this message board and think that we all hate each other. In fact, we come across many F9 guys in MKE and we are pleasant to each other. Just chalk this board up to competitive banter.

Republics EXCO is driving this train wreck and it could have been done so much better. Vote FAPA.

Flyguy,
You have a very healthy perspective. I hope for all involved, that the SLI develops the way you expect it too. Good luck to all involved.

The few YX guys won't have to burn the house down (not that I think they really would anyway), it will collapse on it's own because, for evil to triumph, all it takes is good men to do nothing. And , by evil, I hope it's not necessary to explain management.

I was not referring to how the company will do as a whole, simply how the pilot groups will come together. I don't know if this experiment will fail and neither do you. Most think it will and thats their opinion. Bedford has a cushion to learn though. The fee for departure side can prop up the branded side for close to 10 years. Gauranteed revenue/profit is a great thing to have in this situation. I personally hope it will succeed. If it does, it could be great for all the pilots involved over the long haul. Rip our current contract apart all you want, it only takes 1 new one to change everything.

Disappointing, but not entirely unexpected. I wish I could bump back my deadlines by months at a time on a regular basis.

Imagine how functional this industry would be if everyone involved was held to the same standards pilots are held to.

So, I guess that Lynx presented Monday until the afternoon. YX presented Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon. And Republic presented Tuesday afternoon and then for the rest of the week, still not getting through all of their witnesses.

Now, since they ran out of time, they can't schedule the Arbitrator until May.

So....Is it just being thorough or stall tactics at it's best??
