Again, who f$$$ing cares how the FAs feel. Who signs for the aircraft? That person and that person alone should have the say.

What kind of CRM training do they have at USAirways these days? Perhaps it is attitudes like yours which are contributing to some of the problems USAPA is having within their ranks and with their fellow labor groups.
It is highly unlikely that a labor group that is screwed over by a pilot group will come running to their aid if the pilot group later needs help. We should care how the FAs feel because it is in our best interests to do so.

Beagle,
Do you agree that the FA jumpseat is within the scope of the captains authority? IE should a FA trying to use that jumpseat ask the captain for permission? If the answer to these questions is yes, then there is no usurption of FA power because it was not within their power in the first place.
Regardless of the above, how can you say APA was trying to "usurp" the FA's place on the FA jumpseat. It has been clearly stated that all the APA was trying to do is allow a APA pilot to ride on the FA jumpseat IF no other FA already was going too. How is this usurping the FA's?
I'm not APA and hence have no dog in this fight. I just disagree with your argument.

Why do you think the flight attendants were mad about the APA's move to take over their seats?

Someone already pointed out it erodes the FA union's ability to negotiate cabin jump seat agreements with other airlines. Is it fair for one FA to ride on another airline behind the host airline's FA's but those FA's have to ride behind both the FA's and pilots of the other airline?

Fortunately for me I am not part of the abortion called usapa. Also, if a pilot group is looking for aid from the fas or any other group they have already lost. Remember the pie is only so big and every dollar another group gets is a dollar some other group doesn't.

Just so ya know, NERD doesn't work for UsAir.

Agreed, except for the part about the pillow. Management will be too busy taking down the weakened fighter still standing and doesn't care about anyone's head except their own.
