Thanks for that information. I have done just that and hopefully my pals will do the needful. It's a tough market out there so every bit helps.
On another note, for those interviewed can you share any insights as to how you prepared for the interview, especially for the written exams?
Thanks

Word Document w/60-1 summary - Put together by a Herc pilot/artist. He ought to publish it.
Everything Explained for the Professional Pilot by Richie Lengel. Spendy book, but worth it.
I contacted Albie at Emerald Coast, who was highly recommended by buds of mine both previously hired and hired in this wave. However, we were unable to find a time that would work with both of our crazy schedules.
I'm blessed to have some good friends who fly for DAL who spent time coaching me in person and on the phone for the HR interview - guys like that are one of the biggest reasons I'm excited to work for the company.

I'll second the notion of contacting Albie, great guy, excellent prep. I would also do some research on what they call the "COG" test. It is a silly little light pen/computer test of memory and hand eye coordination. Try and get an interview with COMAIR, they use the same test!

For the COG there was a very old thread (9/07) that covered it fairly well. Here is the link to Bleagle's post:

Dragon, a point of caution on the Aviation Knowledge. I was not told what changed on the test, I was only told that it changed, and was much harder. That said, study correctly.
Could have been the person I talked to did not study the gouge, but I find that very unlikely.
Also all applicants are signing a NDA. Do not expect the gouge from 2008.

Good point ACL. Since there is limited info on the COG test, I'm banking on not much changing. I caution those that follow that link to just look at the cognitive skills portion of the post. I used luminosity and followed the advice to get a Comair interview since they used the same COG test. The COG test isn't hard for anyone who has played a game on the computer or the PS3 for that matter. I think it's the unknown that freaks people.
As for the test itself. I used the outline DAL sent me to study (and more than a few Navy pubs available online).
For those studying - google is your friend. Most things can be found with some digging.
