As part of indoc, the new hires were required in 2008 to JS out/back to see the operation. I imagine it's the same now. When I did it, we had everything we needed to jumpseat, and a special code to use when calling the jumpseat desk for booking it.

It's a great way to see the how everything in the FOM comes together on the line. I imagine for the military folks without airline experience, it's really helpful.

And for the civilian folks without military or combat experience, I imagine Virginia Avenue is really helpful.

Think of walking past Spondivits after midnight as flying over Baghdad on night one of Desert Storm.

Just for the record, I did nothing to that picture. Completely untouched.

^^^^He speaks the truth. HEY NEWHIRES, YEAH I'M YELLING CUZ YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS. During the last hiring cycle we had a couple guys robbed at gunpoint and another get his flight case stolen from his car. My neighbors across the street from my crashpad seemed pretty cool. Then one night the lady asked us if we wanted to "party" for a hundred bucks. Crazy place...and no, my roommate and I did NOT party with her. I'm not a big fan of crotch crickets. Be safe.

I'm tempted to break out and dust off the old Delta commercial parody...but I won't.
