As I recall, you accrue it the first year but use it in the next year. Our vacation year begins in April...not really sure why. The bids for next year open in January.

So it sounds basically like ours. if you start 6 months through the vacation year, Basically in September, you should get half the vacation allotment for next years bid. Which i think i heard it said it is 14 days so we would get 6 days to bid on? Oh what is the credit for those days. Hopefully more than the 3 hours a day i get now
. Thanks again guys as always.
. Thanks again guys as always.A HUMONGOUS 3:15 per vacation day and the same goes for recurrent (less than a reserve gets and certainly less than our duty and trip rigs) when you get to do that.

Are you sure about the 3:15? I had it in august and am almost positive it only showed 3:00/day on my time card. I'll check.

Welcome on board everyone! ACL is right on; If you started class today you would have roughly 6 days of vacation for the 2011 bid. Vacation is worth 21 hours or 3hr/day.

FYI on vacation: As a new hire you'll get whatever days they decide to assign you unless you call the vacation scheduler. If you call you may be able to get something more desirable. Granted, you're at the bottom so you likely won't have much to choose from, but it doesn't hurt to see what you have to choose from.
