Where does it say that? I do not see that in Section 7.

How the heck do you get to a vacation scheduler? Let me guess, call the chief pilot support center... The answer for everything!

Heyas Pitts,

Whenever I have a question, I usually email them first. During business hours, they get back to me 5-15 minutes.

Much faster than trolling the forums.

I need to send an email to BB for a new hire question. Do you know if his email is [email protected] or if his middle inital is involved(first.inital.last) ?

Also any thoughts on the welcome to Delta dinner? My wife really wants to go but it would involve her calling in sick at work and getting some out of town baby sitters.

Thanks APC

The dinner was a good time, at least in 2007 it was open bar and a good meal. I would take the wife, she should share in the joy. They present you with wings and all...

Just my opinion.... You will really want your wife to be there at the dinner. It really was a great time.

In my class, I think there was only one married person who did not have his wife there.

Ditto on bringing the wife. It will make her feel part of the Delta family and she will understand the sacrifices all of us made to get to this point. In turn, this will go a long way to her understanding when, as a junior guy on reserve, you're not going to be there that one night or weekend when she really wants you home for something.

Share the honor and the joy. You'll both appreciate it later. I know my wife and I do. We still talk about it.

I interviewed on Jul 13th, got the ctt beginning of August and a class date a week after the letter. 4 of us from my hire group are in Sept 6th class. So I got another questions for the experienced peeps. Newbies start out on reserve right? how Lon does it take to get a line on the dc-9 md-88 or A320?

That will all depend on how many are hired after you and how quickly. If the hiring stops soon after you are hired, you will probably be stuck on reserve until the hiring starts again. When I was hired at NWA we were hiring about 50 per month. I was only on reserve for about 3 months.
