So what's the deal? Are the sims really that backed up?

I have a conversion date and training date in December on the MD88. Do you think there's a chance I'll get all of December off? I'm obviously not on training pay so I'll be getting paid.

No idea, just know some are having a delay. Maybe they have to wait for all of the pilots on the 365 Jan 01 AE to convert before they were to go to training. I do know that most of those were to be converted in Sept and Oct.

Doubt it, they have plenty of sims and they do train all the way though December.

How much is training pay for a new hire? I assume you don't get min guarantee @ $54 per hour.

You are technically are paid at a training pay rate until you check out. It was around 2,700 per month divided up in to two equal checks a few years ago, but the amount may changed. You transition to flight pay after your checkout.
