We are looking at nearly 700 retirements in the next five years.

No - three things:

First, there is a maximum numbers of flowthroughs that can flow each month and each year.
Second, Compass can hold back people for 90 days, so I think everyone in the pool right now would be in class before the compass people start coming.
Third, the flows were renegotiated because Compass and Mesaba were sold (basically the flow-up was cancelled), so there is a limited number of pilots flowing. Only existing Compass pilots will flow and 108 Mesaba pilots.

FWIW, I interviewed Aug 2. We were told that we were the first day of interviewees that would not get training dates. I, along with 5 others, was given a conditional job offer and told that we would not go to training until next summer. We were also not sent to the flight doc or the psych interview. We were told that the Nov/Dec classes would all be flow-ups.

Congratulations to all those being hired at DAL. I was wondering if you all could shed some light on your background, ratings, education, age etc and how many internal recs you had on file. How long from the time you completed the app until getting a call for the interview?

Also did the internal rec folks call anyone in HR etc to facilitate the process?

Thanks

CPS will flow 20 per month with DAL having the ability to cap the flow up at 25% of the list per year.
XJ will flow 9 per month until the 108 is reached. ( one year of flows)

actually 9/mo with a max of 108 until #233 senority is reached. if some along the way say no than the 108 number goes down.

Let me see if I have this right. If 125 bypass the flowthrough, the 108th slot would go to #233 on their seniority list. If 126 bypass, #233 would still be the last to flow, but the actual number of flowthroughs would only be 107, and so on...

That is correct. It is a max of 108 with number 233 on the list being the last person to flow no matter how many decide to bypass.

Thanks, I didn't know that. Sucks to be #234. I wonder why they decided to stop at #233.
