I'll take $1200/month lease... especially if I don't have to pay for it.. and I'm guessing you can get something pretty nice to drive around for that..

The car amount is an "allowance", so he doesn't have to use all of it or any of it if he has a spare car sitting around. We will see how budget conscious CA Moak is when a car is sitting in his parking spot in Herndon. Until then I will reserve judgment.

Oh, and the reps that WE elect are the ones that approve or disapprove of budget items, maybe there should be a resolution sent up from the LEC's that would like to see that allowance reduced or removed.

Let's hope so. There is no reason, ever, under any imaginable circumstance where someone in a labor union at any level would ever "need" 1200/mo for a car lease.

Well, from what I have heard, the president's pay is now an average of the top 5 airlines under the umbrella instead of the top 3 that prater and the other walrus enjoyed... What I wanna know is why is it not ALL the airlines under the umbrella...? That way they wouldn't be so gung ho to recruit low paying connection carriers.. It would certainly be amusing.

He could always do a Kolshack, show up in an Astin Martin at the bankruptcy payout party.

Heyas,

If the DPA can't get their card drive going, perhaps they can switch pressing for changes in policy and encourage elections at the local level.

What do you mean? ALPA is always very welcoming of "vocal minorities."

It sure isn't, and I'm not talking about the DPA. I've never once been sold on the DPA... gone over it a number of times.

This is talking about the numerous quantities of pilots among our ranks (north and south) that are frankly fed up with giving input to ALPA over and over and having it shot down because of the haughty "you don't know what I know, I know better than you" attitude that permiates through the unionoid entrenched.

Of course there are far fetched ideas that those that focus on one nuance without looking at other effects that need to be shot down, however at DALPA it has typically been the "it didn't come from us, so of course it's not a good idea."

There HAS been a positive change as of late, however with TO's remarks in a meeting I was in not long ago, the old is still alive and well. That must change.
