SSHHHHUUUSHHHH!

You'll interupt the whining, complaining. amd kvetching. Historical accuracy should not be allowed!

[rant]

Boeing? Bad! RJ? Bad! The only thing acceptable is an A321NEO delivered in 2018, and I only want to fly it on Tuesdays, but not every Tuesday, just those in months that have an "R" in the name. I know the BOD stated this as a fact because the MD88 CLCP said so, and it was confirmed by the 73N Fleet Captain that we were going to fly it to deep South America (even though it would run out of gas at the equator)! And all those Alaska routes where they carry 6 of our passengers with no revenue to Delta...we should load those up with an MD90. And even though jet fuel costs 3 times what it did in 2005 and 5 times what it did in 2000, our network shouldn't change! Send the negotiators over RIGHT NOW and DEMAND what is right! I don't care about the economy, my company's financial performance, my personal history, or that I _______(fill in blank with)
1. undercut mainline wages doing the same job at a substandard carrier,
2. Paid for training to buy my job,
3. Grew up on an outsourced RJ and hired on here at 26 and now complain about my birthright,
4. (Whatever floats your boat)
if management doesn't yield to my demands I'll vote in an independent union! That'll show them! And if the lawyer I hire to take me independent doesn't like the result, he'll help with a movement to take the new independent independent! Oh, and vote NO unless anything those weak negotiators bring back passes a single (pay, scope, LBP, etc.) litmus test! But wait, those negotiator guys have been doing a great job, I was just worried about a coup...

It's all so confusing. With management this bad it's amazing I applied here. Even more amazing is that a management this bad could be trusted to hire me! I'm the forum wisdom! I have a keyboard, hear me type!

The 787-8 order was paid for, ok at least financed. Then, we pushed our positions back for the better 787-9 (a smart move IMO).

Then we got increased MTOW from Boeing for the 757/767.

Is the 737 order a separate issue? Is all of this tied together somewhere.

Ferd <------really starting to get confused
Last I saw was a 787-8 delivery (18) positions beginning in 2020. I'm pretty sure that's in the annual report. As you said, there was an IGW, but I think it covered almost all the Boeing aircraft we have that could go up in weight.

I'm hoping this Bloomberg rumor is true. It would be nice to know there's a near term pipeline to replace some of the really old 1984/85 model 757's. They are looking and acting pretty tired.

The above is a classic example of condescending alpa/mgmt babble, You pilots are stupid and let us alpa and mgmt types handle this.

we only have 6 Dal customers on those flights because we dont compete for ourselves on those routes and grow them on our own. Instead we've outsourced the west coast flying to Alaska and ALPA spins it saying its not our routes, of course its not, why let the Delta side grow organically when we can just have alaska do it for delta?

No kidding. I guess ALPA wants us all to shut up and stop asking questions?

On a separate topic, and just for the record, none of you are paying me to play on the Internet.

I am not on FPL while posting.

I everything just peachy, no complaints for slow at all?

Or do you have a different set of issues that are bugging you?

I'm just asking...

Cheers

I've got loads of complaints. I'm not paid enough. Too much of my airline's work is outsourced. I don't look like I did 20 years ago...

That doesn't mean, however, that I should condone the revision of history and ignore facts.

Thanks for the question.

I'm not spinning anything, its pretty clear by your post that you are up on a high horse.

The spin is that alpa says we arent outsourcing flying to Alaska since we dont compete on those routes. Instead of us competing on our own we just let them do it. Why compete on anything?
