Years ago trying to catch a UAL flight from NRT to BKK (flight 875). I was a regional F/O at the time in my mid-twenties. The capt. actually pulled out the scab list as I waited in the flightdeck. I thought it was odd since it was obvious (at least to me) I was too young to be a scab as the last strike at any airline was when I was around 15 yrs old!
Oh well, some guys like to show their power.

Maybe he was checking to see if you had a family member who was on the list. Might be a stretch, and difficult to prove if you had a common last name but a lot of us have parents who were pilots.

I know many pilots who weren't certain what they would do just before our strike in 1985. Most did honor the line, but sadly, to many didn't, and some of those didn't make up their minds until just before the deadline. Heck, some made their terrible decision after the deadline.
If you really think "..... a person is determined to scab", then I guess there's no sense in studying history, is there?

Nope! But got close once, and I knew I wasn't going to go anywhere close to crossing the picket line if it did happen. But that's just me. I don't like to live knowing all my colleagues hate me. It doesn't require someone telling you that to understand, pretty simple!
If everytime a person jumpseats he/she receives a "lesson", jumpseating would be pretty painful!
