[QUOTE=TheManager;1204252][QUOTE=slowplay;1204201]But their A330 pilots currently make $199/hr. Under this TA ours will make $255/hr

Nice try. Hawaiian bundles 767 and A330 pay. If DALPA had been trying to raise the bar instead of doing the limbo, would we not have the same bundle in this TA?

Be nice to have 767 pilots making 199 hour over the last couple years but better yet would be a bundled rate at the 767/ a330/ 767-400 level, but DALPA missed that one too.

Opps.

Should I keep going?
Yeah, hate those facts don't you Slow? The TA has a few items in it that are tolerable but it is still a turd. Instead of trying to roll it in sugar and pass it off as edible with the spin and sell, tweaking it might be the better option.

Yes, please keep going as you try to cherry pick.

Hawaiian 767 rate = $199
Delta TA 767 rate = $226

I like the bigger number. And our 53 A330/764 aircraft are paid significantly more than that.

That is not because of the evil company shills at the NMB or the state of the economy or the general nature of negotiations. That is because their pilot group has intentionally embraced those rates because they think the process of doing so will get them an SLI re-do one day. That is the only reason why they are where they are right now. Hopefully an AA merger will eliminate the power structure in charge of that losing playbook and the "DL parity", with or without the DL TA, will result in a massive shift in the current disparity.

Of course the 757/767 fleet makes up about 35% of the entire fleet at DAL.. and the pay on it is significantly less than the 2x4/330 pay. This is a failure of this TA IMHO, but I will never win the banded pay/LGBP argument until most of the list is in narrowbody equipment I guess. It is not enough of a failure to scuttle it, but I think the pay system we have sucks.. always will from this point forward.

So that legitimizes the reason to ignore the fact that our FOs will make what their captains make?

Hopey changey... always a proven winner of a strategy.

You know what else that merger will give them? Hundreds MORE jumbo RJs then our proposed TA will give us.

APA's proposal is 308 51-88 seat jets PLUS 352 70 seat jets. That's APA's proposal! That's supposed to be the good one!!!

??? WT"PHQ" Slowplay ???

You totally missed the point. DALPA missed the boat, again, by not patterning of another established ALPA contract.

767 banding with the A330 at Hawaiian.

Had they accomplished that in the JCBA, the 767 pilots would have been taking home an extra $24 an hour over the last several years instead of being scant dollars above 737 pay.

The opportunity to fix that again and use the pattern bargaining leverage that DALPA clings to was missed.... again.

Sure, its looks good when you put the 2015 payrate of $226 next to Hawaiian's current rate today of $199, but it would look much better if the 767 was banded to the a330 and it paid $255 hour.

Quite frankly, if DALPA would try to be even the remote bit human about how they act as stewards of our profession, they would do much better.

Instead of always stridently harping about how they are always correct, never make mistakes, and are basically perfect and infalliable, they should try humility.

Present the TA with the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Be straight up. Drop the spin and the sell job. It would be much better received.

I'm not living in reality if I think I'll ever see this happen though. Just look how they are handling the FPL resolutions.

Great argument except you left out the part about the 330 is replacing the 767.
