Although it changes often, the 320 can be a one way ticket to a long reserve stint. Folks I went to class with that are on the bus haven't moved yet, they are still the bottom in base and months away from a line.
That may change this year if the majority of the growth is on the bus side.

Even if there is a bunch of A320 growth, you can bet there will be guys bidding off the 190 to the 320 to get based in LGB/FLL. If you dont live within driving distance of JFK/BOS then the 190 would probably be best choice for a commuter.

I've been here a year and we were all JFK or BOS. The system bid had just closed and there were vacancies of 5 bus, 5 190 and we could choose the plane based on seniority followed by your choice if either base.

I was Aug 2011, my 320 classmates are still on reserve in JFK. I have had a line in Boston since Dec. on the 190. With these new classes my classmates should get off reserve in JFK. I plan to bid the 320 LGB ASAP, as I commute from Lax to Bos. I can't wait for 320 reserve at home, the commute really takes a toll!!

I have a great cpad in Bos. 5 min shuttle ride from terminal c on rental car shuttle. We have an opening, pm me if you need it.
