Default Jet Blue mechanic caught in sting.

89 charged in prostitution bust, including school principal

updated 8/31/2012 5:04:20 PM ET

Kathleen High School principal Cecil McClellan was one of 89 people arrested and charged in a major prostitution bust in Polk County, police said.
The police report said McClellan, 49, responded to three ads placed by undercover detectives for sex in exchange for money.
Police said he also grabbed a detective on the buttocks. He was charged with solicitation of prostitution and two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer.
Police also arrested a 32-year-old man who coached little league football.
Police said Brian Cromer, of North Lakeland, had an ad posted on Backpage.com and wanted to charge $100 to have sex with two female detectives.
Glen Kershaw, 39, who told police he is a Jet Blue mechanic from Orlando, was traveling to meet a minor for sex, according to police. He talked online with an undercover detective about having sex with an 11-year-old girl, police said.
Courtney Lane, 23, of Gadseen, Ala., Markisha Moguel, 43, of Mobile Ala., and Maleka Williams, 23, of Memphis, Tenn., traveled to Florida to make money prostituting during the Republican National Convention, police said.
They were charged with offer to commit prostitution. The 89 arrests were made between Aug. 24-30.

Back to the pool discussion...military background so I'm confused by supplemental bid reference a few posts back. I have a couple of questions for those more in the know...

1. What's a supplemental bid?
2. Why would you need one if a full quarterly bid just closed 1 week ago?
3. Any rumors regarding additional classes beyond 19 Sep?
4. Is it likely to not hear of new classes until this supplemental bid closes?

Thanks for the help.

1. Jetblue is required (well, kinda) to put out System Bids every 3 months. Supplemental Bids are for those in between times when they need to adjust staffing needs.

2. The current System Bid covers flying through March 2013 only. They havent given a reason why they couldnt get everything on one bid, so speculate away. Im thinking it is just a matter of finalizing additional flying beyond March 2013.

3. I havent heard specific on classes beyond 9/19, but have heard rumors of 50 newhires for the remainder of 2012. Numbers for 2013 range between 135 and 250+ newhires.

4. Exactly. The Supplemental Bid should come out sometime shortly after this one closes on Sept 14th.

Anyone know anything about classes starting 10/17 and 11/7? I think these will be the next two on the schedule.

Okay, so I'm trying to run numbers just to figure out a sort of countdown based on the last couple of bids. First bid that came out seemed like it had 16 JFK 190 FO spots, of which so far 8 guys are in class. This latest bid had, what I an gather from here, another 15 FO spots open. Do those 15 include the 8 left from the previous bid or are they in addition to those, making it a total of 31 FO spots (16 from the first, 15 from the next)?
