You guys are wasting your breath. Those pilots don't understand or don't want to understand what it means to setup for future, they just want in, and they will eat $hit if asked, to get a job with B6.
I said this million times before, some pilots come from regional bottom feeder with little or no benefits, with little or no PIC, and think of B6 as an upgrade.
The tradition thinking of hiring experienced pilots with captain experience or armed forces service, is gone. B6 needs those guys so they will accept any BS put out by JB.
Our CEO video shows how much they care about your health: just go to the gym like Dave does and don't look at $ amount of health care, take care of yourself, and you don't need health care.

Those of us who want out want to work for a company that sells its own tickets. Even with its warts, B6 is better than any regional for that fact alone. Once we are there, we can work to improve areas that are lacking, but to suggest that we should stay at the regionals is just beyond stupid.

I agree, staying at the Regional level is a bad move. Even if B6 isn't for you in the long run you gain experience in going. I still forsee alot of our ranks moving to Big D and others when the hiring picks up. (LOL, if they were smart they'd hire every JB CA that applied)
If you can afford to make the move take it, it's a step up. If your strapped by 1st yr pay issues and commuting to rsv, hang tight and wait for your big boy job to come. That way you only have to pay the piper once.
Either way, get out of the Regionals!!

It seems that there have been more 320FOs going to 190FO than the other way around.
I would not consider bidding over to the 320 until I could be in the 60% range give or take a few percentage points. Although the pay is better at second year and beyond, the QOL is much worse going to a very junior 320 schedule. I can make considerably more with a touch more seniority on the 190 than I could on the 320.
If I were on the 320 I could possibly hold a line next spring summer. The lines would be primarily island red eye turns (that sometimes include a 2 hour sit at the island). The other popular junior line is the 3 day that is technically a 4 day (ends after midnight) and switches sleep schedule halfway through the trip. Sometimes it seems the only people you will really hear on the radio at 3am is UPS, FEDEX and JB

No sir. It is you who do not understand. If I stay at my regional, nothing improves because the business model is built that way. If a company succeeds at becoming a career destination, GoJet comes along and undercuts them.

Goes to show ya, you never know what can happen in this industry. Look at Comair. I'm sure those guys had no plans to leave CVG either.

My problem is with pilots coming here and telling me that this place is better then their previous place and needs no fix.
You get it, but many don't. Recently, we got a lot of FOs, that make $35/h, get 3% 401K at 75 cents on a $, come to JB and think this is the best place on earth. They have no concept of long term carrier.

As long as you willing to participate in JB reform and fight for better benefits, I welcome you with an open arms.

Jetlink, some of the worst juicers at JetBlue are former military and major airline refugees. Most of the new guys I fly with are former regional pilots and almost all of them support a CBA.

If this last union vote was for an in house, it would have passed. There's too many bad memories with ALPA (mostly ALPA national) that will keep ALPA off the property for many years to come.
