Can any of you guys shed some light on whether or not there will be only one, or two more classes (or none planned) this year? I am in the mid 80's in the pool and wondering if I'll be in class in 2012, or Jan/Feb/Mar of 2013. Thanks and Congrats to those getting calls to class!

Latest news is they are at #48 in the pool. Guy I interviewed with just got the call for 11/7. Anyone know what size that class is now? Been hearing conflicting reports.

I was told the 7 Nov class size was 11, possibly up to 16.

Sometimes they purge the system and throw out all the apps and get a fresh supply. They will let you know in advance to let you prep to re-apply. As I remember, the info can be transferred from the existing application to the new one. It's a good idea to print your app out so you can easily re-enter the info quickly as the windows are only open for a few days to a week at a time. I was on my 3rd application window when I got called. Good luck..

Had the Assistant Chief Pilot in JFK, who is also on the hiring committee, jumpseat with us just a couple of weeks back and I asked him about hiring. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but he was firm about no hiring until late summer......next year (August - September 2013). Sorry guys. He confirmed what was said above about JetBlue being extremely fat on pilots due to not as many pilots as they thought returning to AA and DAL.

I was in the school house back in mid September. They said for 2013, baseline 150 pilots needed and best case 250. Congrats to all the new hires. When I went through initial many moons ago, I spent much time at the local Starbucks studying. For cheap car rental go to Thrifty.

Can any of you guys that have been called for class expand on the recheck of the background check and other requirements. Is my current company going to be asked to provide updated records? I am a little concerned that they will drag their feet again. They sat on the request for records last fall/winter for months.
Does anyone have an answer to this? Thanks
