jetblue pilot poolies

There are not many of them...or, no one really knows.
I believe the program has ended. What it was is a raffle where a pilot could get picked to get a blue dart. You could only get one in your career here. What it did was guarantee an interview to anyone qualified that you gave it too.
I've flown with guys who have guven blue darts and their "guy" has not heard a peep.

Sometimes we have a rough idea of class sizes, but its not official and only rumor. For 10/17 Ive heard 9 A320 and 11 E190 spots, and roughly the same for 11/7.

There are different methods to get hired at JB. The company calls these 'Gateways' and the blue dart is one of the Gateways you could possibly get hired as a pilot. The blue darts are given at random to current JB pilots and they can give them to applicants. The blue dart only guarantees an interview. Like USMC said, there are many who had a blue dart but still didnt get hired.

So if one did receive a Blue Dart would you then contact B6 HR or the Chief Pilot and inform them that you had one, or would you just apply through the standard online application route and somewhere on your application mention you were in possession of Blue Dart? I guess I'm trying to figure out what a "guaranteed interview" actually means and I have searched high and low on this forum without much of a definitive answer on how the Blue Dart process actually works. Is there anyone on the forum who has ever been employed by B6 using one?

If you were to be offered one, you wouldn't do a thing, so it's not worth stressing over. Only way to get one is to network with current JB pilots.
A blue dart gets you to the front of the line for an interview just like others have said.

Last I heard I was #43, but that was before the Cape Air guys and some other re-shuffling, I guess. No call here yet. I interviewed at 1:30 in the afternoon on Oct 14th last year.
Of course, I'm in Canada right now, so if I got a call today I wouldn't even know until tomorrow.

You guys think spring 2013 would be too early to start off the street interviews again?
