From: next to chronic complainers...
Had the Assistant Chief Pilot in JFK, who is also on the hiring committee, jumpseat with us just a couple of weeks back and I asked him about hiring. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but he was firm about no hiring until late summer......next year (August - September 2013). Sorry guys. He confirmed what was said above about JetBlue being extremely fat on pilots due to not as many pilots as they thought returning to AA and DAL.
Once the flood gates open, 25% bottom of seniority of JB pilot will jump ship to DAL, UA, etc. JB is no longer competitive and compensation package is questionable. Personally, I'm disappointed and I'm no longer convinced, that this is the place for long term pilot career, it feels more like regional then major, and management communication with pilots is almost borderline line insult to professional pilots.
Rumor has it, that our medical premiums will double next year, and my medical here is by far the worst I had in aviation business.
As far as the system bid goes, we have 14 A320 FO over what's needed and open 12 E190 FO, some my go to E190 in order to hold the line and make premium pay, since bottom A320 FOs don't fly at all.
So, that's my two cents for guys in the pool.

Ok soooo, several people say that they were told that classes are starting soon and another says that he was told not for another year. Can somebody break the tie?
Raymond, do you want to go back to Walbrook or stay with Charlie Babbitt?

My thoughts exactly. IMHO, AMR has named every possible candidate but I do not see Doug Parker and US Airways giving up on their dream dance partner. US Airways has already spent a lot of time and money on this deal and they will not let this big fish get away.
On the other hand, JB management and our BOD have said publicly that they want nothing to do with AMR (other than our code shares), so unless Horton and company make a hostile attempt to take us over, I just don't see this playing out. I will not lose any sleep over this, as it is a longshot at best. Now back to your regularly scheduled fear mongering.
War Eagle!!

I was just in the schoolhouse recently and told possible classes sept/oct. Don't know what to believe on these boards as there has been a lot of outright lying lately. Hard to trust anyone these day.

I don't trust and never have trusted any of these boards. Nothing but hearsay and opinions. However, sometimes fun to read for entertainment!!
